Re: "The company has repurchased 659.9 million shares at a total cost of $18.2 billion. $4.6B out of pocket. Your pocket."

Well, since the stock is near an all-time high (I think), it must follow that all of those shares were purchased WELL below the current price of the stock. Which means that they were a bargain. Further, If they hadn't been repurchased, the number os shares outstanding would be higher by 659 million, and the EPS, AND SHARE PRICE, would be correspondingly lower.

Relax, they know what they are doing. Possibly better than the management of any other company on this planet (just like AMD mgt. knows what they are doing better than the management of any other company on their planet).
