Will America’s first Indian-American Governor be elected by Louisiana?

I hope so.

I've met and spoken to him a couple of times as he was testing the waters before he ran. He is absolutely one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Mega mental wattage.

Forget governorship--I think Jindal is Senatorial and ultimately Presidential material. A real star-in-the-making. Mark his name. You'll hear it again.

One of my uncles car-pooled with Jindal's father when he worked as an engineer for Exxon at the Baton Rouge Refinery. He regaled my uncle with stories about how his six year-old son would casually pick up a refinery procedure manual, read it, and discuss it intelligently.

His IQ has to be off the charts. And he is a very pleasant guy, not a bit arrogant. My read on him is that he knows that his intelligence is a genetic gift or simply a fluke. He probably believes that it is his obligation to use it for the public good.

And he's a rock-ribbed Republican, to boot.
