Dominic,

Implicit in the article is the importance of the Fax machine. It was leading edge - bleeding edge technology when Frank and Denis did PanaFax. Now it's trailing edge, almost passe. Check out the Barron's lead article from a week ago. The internet is demolishing old paradigms.

The interest in Copytele has always been its flat panel screen. So why waste time and energy on a product whose time is past? If the screen does all the things it's said to do, why not hand it to a Chinese TV company and make el cheapo flat panel TV's? Why not hand it to a Chinese PC clone maker and be first to market with a reasonably priced PC with a nil footprint? Apple is marketing the emate with a monochrome screen. Any PDA would be better with it. This could go on and on.

I see three possibilities here:

1. Denis and Frank are so paranoid that they are essentially agoraphobic. (This comes from your comments Dominic.)

2. Denis and Frank are incredibly stupid. (You and I both know that's not true. These guys are flat out geniuses: you would put them up for a Nobel Prize, I nominated them for an IgNobel Prize.)

3. The technology will not perform as advertised. (This fits all the facts, and allows the presses to run unabated.)

Until there is a demonstration, I choose to use the Missouri test: "I'm from Missouri, you gotta show me."

PS I guarantee my stock picks: If my view of the future is wrong, I will make good on my shorted shares, and help drive your investment higher. If your view of the future is wrong, I bet you just walk away having helped Denis and Frank hose some little old lady in Dubuque. I bet you won't buy more shares to support the price so she can recoup her investment. You'll just shrug your shoulders, whisper F--K YOU, and turn on your heel.
