Hi Everyone, We keep some of these little stocks around for reasons that we can't always describe to others. We tuck them away in the attic of our investment pyramid where they won't get in the way and just hope there will be a reason some day to go find them.

Well, somebody rubbed the magic lantern and out popped GENE and granted me one wish for the end of the Millennium!! Well, 13 MILLION shares later, the stock had risen 66% for the day. Intraday it was nearly up 100%!

This is a stock I've owned for more than thirteen years. I've AIMed it pretty much the whole time. As per my usual M.O. there was a 'Good til Cancelled' order outstanding to sell off a few of those shares from my inventory. It filled immediately this AM at what was probably the LOW for the day, but 63/64ths higher (or about 16% higher) than the price at which I'd placed it. Sort of Good news; Bad news!

In any case, it's always been one of the Top Of The Pyramid stocks - not a foundation stock. At times I've looked brilliant with it and yet for the last year or two it made me look pretty foolish. After hanging around and being AIMed in my warehouse for so many years we've managed to accumulate quite a few shares. Last buy was at $2-1/2 where upon I added 50% to my holding. So, today's close at $10 definitely puts AIM in the Sell Mode. Now, what's a good amount to sell???

Please understand that this baby biotech is a highly speculative issue that needs lots of patience to appreciate. Their science is top notch, but they've usually not received much investor recognition. There's several other companies that have had much higher profiles and much better trading activity.

I just thought some of you might enjoy looking at the stock over the last three years in your favorite charting software. In the mean time.............

"I Dream of GENE with the Light Brown Hair!"

Best regards, Tom
PS: I wonder if GENE will grant me two more wishes? :-)
