CBS - No Changes

PoliPundit.com

The Sunday movie on the CBS network is “Locusts", and it’s everything I expected from the network that suggested the “forged but accurate” defense for Dan “Courage” Rather.

The movie, in a nutshell:

Evil scientist (works for USDA, but moonlights for Department of Defense to create evil mutant locusts for no apparent purpose - greed, secrecy and soldiers=evil themes recurrent).

Bugs escape, and the earth being fragile and helpless yada yada, “megaswarms” of evil mutant locusts show up on both coasts, doing all manner of evil - destroying crops, putting children in hospitals, crashing jets.

The heroes in this movie:

Women (the only scientists portayed as honest are young women),

The elderly (who give encouragement, but are otherwise expected to stay out of the way of the heroic young women)

Mainstream news (which expose the evil Army/Scientists plot, vague as it is)

The United Nations (no, they don’t really do anything, except grant their sanction)

The villains in this movie:

The military

The President

Men

Missing from this movie:

A cogent plot

Good acting

Any sense of the facts regarding insects, pesticides, the DoD, Chemical Weapons protocol, any sense of responsibility on the part of Liberals.

CBS is still CBS.
