Yes, but I don't think he has a futures account. Index futures do have many advantages over leveraged ETFs as an investment, the most important of which is that the leverage is not calculated daily. If you know we are in a bull/bear market, you can buy/sell the futures and let it ride for weeks or months without any adverse vol erosion.
