Question for the thread. What is manipulation? Is it something that can be measured, like a quart of milk, or a fantastic time in a marathon by a 38 year old Romanian named Constantina Tomescu-Dita against an olympic field of younger competitors? Is it a Treasury Sec that whispers a hint to his friend, who happens to work at the same investment bank the Treasury Sec himself worked at before his <public service>. It is waiting to do something a body is legally empowered to do, but not until just the exact best possible time to exact the maximum impact <and to assume for one second that the government does not have all the same charts and technical understanding that the SI brain trust has is foolish>. Is it changing the margin requirements or the rules regarding naked shorting of <special equities>. I'm curious, what is manipulation? Maybe we have a lawyer on board that can offer a precise definition. GT TH
