I also, know that George Washington was christian but I would throw up thinking about doing some stuff he did.
Actually in other centuries christians did allot of things I wouldn't do....
But, other christians aren't my std., Jesus and the Word of God are my stds.
Being a Lutheran doesn't mean that you cannot love Jesus and God's word.
Luther was the father of Protestantism.
Luther's legacy wss he said that the bible should be the sole authority and that christians should know the Bible and should not obey a church that commanded you to do things contary to scripture.
So, it's easy to judge other christains and their faults.
Those used of God in the centuries before us were just as imperfect as we are. Luther was German who beleived that people have a realtionship with God through faith through grace and not out actions. And. the bible was our std. and every christian should have a bible.
Luther took allot of flack to get the church to anohter phase of where God wanted us.
It's these principles that make me a lutheran in my parody, but I never could agree wholeheartedly will the lutheran partyline Pre-distination is the biggest issue i have with all their beliefs.
As for anti-semitism,,,that is against scripture and everything that Jesus taught. I'm really only anti one thing...I'm anti- Satan..
that's it. You can pick any gross sin you want from murder to
you name it and I'm not against that person, just the deeds of that person and I can separate the person from the action and love the person but hate what they do....Jesus never said he hated the Pharisees, He said He hated the "deeds of the Pharisees".
