We need new gun laws and background check databases. Psychiatric records are not secret if they are involuntarily committed. Or if they are, they need to be shared just as criminal records are. And juvenile records too. All those records need to be in the database which is checked before allowing anyone to buy a gun, then a waiting period on top of that, and no assault rifles. That way we can keep this a safer saner country. Notice most recent gun violence is carried out by insane people, not criminals. Or crimes of passion. Temporary insanity in other words. The NRA needs to stop blcoking this and trying to keep guns in the hands of the insane. It's a license to murder. And no more concealed weapons permits for felons or insane people either.
