In the Austin American: austin360.com:80/biz/09sept/24/24intel.htm Intel is opening a cpu design center in Austin Tx. ...well this is where centaur is and it also looks like intel is grabbing some highly specialized cpu desgi brains and taking them off the market.These guys worked for MOto and Ibm on the PowerPc and it was a pretty BIG Success design wise this is the cpu used in MACs and IBM Unix workstations.
