"will almost certainly come in the form of limited-production "special editions," according to the sources, who said they were briefed by Intel. PCs using the chips will feature specially designed motherboards with larger heat sinks to accommodate the faster processors."

With this latest move Intel will be competing against retailers who sell pre-tested, overclocked CPU's (what these 1ghz chips appear to be). This is one market that Intel didn't inform investors they are entering. Wow! One more market that Intel can now dominate <g>. INTC gonna rocket on this latest news (sarcasm).

This is classic FUD. Very reminiscent of Nintendo's historical PR machine when they felt threatened. Geez, and the arrogance of Intel is almost reminiscent of Nintendo's. Now that I give it a few more seconds of thoughts, there's alot of similarities between the two. We know where Nintendo is today.
