I agree with you, but I'd like to add one stock that I think has alot of upside potential, and very little downside risk, and that is WFR. Dull boring NYSE company that is #1 or #2 (depending on who you ask) in the wafer manufacturing industry. Now at about 27 1/2, expected earnings for 1998 are $2.43, and I will guess that earnings for 1999 will be $4.00. Book value is just under $20. Wafers have been in oversupply for the last year or so, but they are cyclical, and earnings should start growing by the end of the year, eventually reaching the $1/quarter level that they were at last year.

Now an apology to the ASND thread for hyping my favorite stock, ASND is number #2 on my list.
