I knew Walter was having trouble breathing; the Lord got me up at 5:00 this morning praying for him; thank you for your confirmation.
The Lord poured out His heart to me this morning....He was telling me that someone we had been praying for will not survive. I asked Him why ? ( It is not Walter, with emphasis! )He told me that He did not owe me an explanation but that if we wanted to increase our ministry here to as I always have said , focus on the object of our faith rather than the sincerity of our belief. I asked him, how do we do this??
He said. Greg, it is not your wealth I look at, speaking directly to ME. He said, I don't care how many tassels you have on your shoes, how many tailor made suits you have, what kind of car you drive, how many degrees you have, how many houses you own. He said to ME , you bring me no glory by making or losing money on the stock market, by being a successful businessman or a failure, by how many years you taught a sunday school class or sang in the choir, or by how much money you paid in tithes or by how much money you cheated me out of.
He said what brings me GLORY is when you tell me and others about the scars on my wrists, hands, back , feet, side and brow. When you remind me of the classes I taught, the years I spent in ministry, the transportation I used, the clothes I wore, the houses I did not own, and those that I did. The tithes I paid on my income. The songs I sang. The prayers I prayed and still do for you.
So Lord, I will tell others to think and focus and contemplate, and meditate and pray , and praise on You...Amen! |
