To my knowledge... no one has a license to market a Rapid one step HIV test in the USA. The only test that comes close is SUDS made by Murex. This test has FDA approval for only HIV 1 requires a lab onsite and takes 30 min for a result. Tribys Uni-Gold is a next generation test and is capable of HIV - 1 & 2 and last I heard working on type o detection (may be completed), and requires 10 min . and no lab for a result. The CDC has put out a favorable report for these tests recently. Approval may come sooner then one thinks ? And don't forget Uni-Gold technology will and has provided a plateform for many different tests. The following site should inform all on the CDC's stance with Rapid HIV testing... cdc.gov
