You are right there...Things have changes since 1776. In 1776, the fact that you were on your own when it came to self defense was true and everyone understood it. Now, it is still true, but people believe the fiction that the 'police' will be there if you need them. Check the history of court decisions on that and you will find you are, with no exceptions, on your own. As far as I know, the NRA 'approves' of no militia organizations. If that is wrong, please cite any endorsement so the rest of us may learn, otherwise, stop making such claims. Ira
