Ed and All,
Thanks for the clarification. I will add that most bombs now a days are made from plastic, liquid and things considered normal ie: alarm clocks, shavers etc. The employees that read the screens are not specialist although they are schooled somewhat. It gets busy and things go by in a blur.
Also, about Joe (Terrorist) Tourist. He buys a ticket, checks his bag and the bag goes into the pit(belly). He then checks in but does not go on the plane. Ha, the agents and flight attendants count tickets and bodies...no match. Empty seat is matched with passengers name. If Joe doesn't answer and he indeed had a bag checked then the flight is delayed and the bag comes off.
My guess is that we will eventually see scanners at every jetway in the future. Its just going to take one airline to get the ball running big time. All they have to do is incorporate a great commercial about fool proof passenger safety and you will see a "safety war" between all the carriers.
bg.. sure you didn't mean committed! I'm just too
happy my name is Debra and not D-----. This thread has become my addiction!
