thread, i did install the microsoft patch referenced in my post #reply-13708088 and i also downloaded and installed watchdog per langa's item 5 in my post #reply-13708109. i'll report any probs here if any are encountered. if anyone goes for the patch, be sure to hunt around and find out how to verify if the patch was installed correctly. this is done by checking that a certain registry key does not exist and checking a registry value. also if anyone opts for watchdog, remember to follow langa's recommendation to monitor any or all of the following file types: VBS, VBE, WSF, WSH, JS and JSE. :) mark
