I believe this time it's different. Cf #reply-12582013. The only way W2K gives x86 mp demand another boost is if it spurs a round of corporate upgrades (Tony Viola's bundling argument) or makes substantial inroads into areas not already x86-saturated (as Microsoft wants). The former seems improbable, but given the Redmond brigade's marketing might, the latter seems within reach. We'll see. -mb
