The Bushie rightwing as we know it today is not the conservatism of Goldwater or Reagan, though some Reagan alumni drank the Bushie koolaid. Today's dishonest rightwingers were hatched out of the "anything to win" dirty politics of Lee Atwater who was one of the pioneers of the Southern Strategy, to use wedge issues like racism, God and guns to divide the country. Nixon was the first to start using it. Reagan benefitted from it too. But with karl Rove, the bad boy of the far right, it's gone even beyond Atwater. It has turned into a criminal organization intent on subverting our very democracy. You should not be supporting these creeps if you care about the future of our country.
