I imagine that the prior number of authorized shares were enough to cover the convertibles --
they couldn't have been issued without it, no?


I am showing my ignorance but I suppose not. I don't know with Amazon. Geez the book business was profitable last quarter so why not have convertible bonds with no authorized shares that can be converted?
