A stadium isn't a public road, and going into one where everybody is searched is a lot more voluntary than walking down that public road to the grocery store or bus stop, where almost all searches are done on people who were born with a sun tan. Perhaps the cops should have occasionally been frisking everybody walking down Wall Street, just to sorta keep up appearances

"Does homeland security apply to our streets?"

Prolly if something bad happens, but Sheriff Allman, the CHP, and the 4 or 5 local police departments normally handle it.
