JimLudlow -- my two cents. I hope you reconsider and do post on this forum. You have provided some timely selections and with the data to back them up.

I will take your advise and not post spinoff articles - as you suggested, anyyone can "google" spinoff and find their own relevant articles. As you suggest about "googling", it isn't difficult.

I have never heard anyone refer to someone as an "obnoxious bragger" unless they were one. If you make great calls, then it's appreciated and hopefully the board can provide similar ideas to you. I read Stewart and myself congratulate you on some great picks - if it's not clear, then I'll say it again, you made some great picks.

If the grand experiment is over and you don't want to post, then it's unfortunate for the board because debating/dialoguing is what the board is about.

Jim, do you have spinoff subscriptions that you subscribe to? Do you personally have a newsletter that you send out? You mentioned that you manage your parents money and your money - but if you do have something that is informative, can you provide insights on the product, free or otherwise?

Hopefully the discussion can be in a civil & respectful manner. I personally am writing this in the same tone as if we were drinking a pint of Guiness having a conversation about what stocks to buy. I'm not into name calling or harassment - and will leave that to the yahoo boards.

Just my two cents, just my opinion. CJ

"...The downside? First, I feel kinda alone. There's no one to bounce ideas off and to check my thinking. The people on this board are very, very nice, but let's be candid - posting news articles and listing spinoffs is not very hard if you can google. I tried to be provocative (devil's advocate) a couple of times - shared some analysis a few other times - no one took the bait. No big deal, I did an experiment, now I'm moving on. Second, if one is candid about what one's doing and the returns one is making, one is labeled an obnoxious bragger (which will undoubtedly now happen here) and no one talks to you. So you learn not to talk about it. I accept the downside..."
