I did some research on your laptop and your Toshiba laptop manf. 2011 seems to be right on the timeline where upgrades to windows 10 work or not. I have a 2012 Lenovo L430 which is a little newer and I had no problems upgrading it. I guess I would stick with Windows 7 on that machine or consider upgrading to a new laptop which there are many models available for at reasonable prices.
