what a ridiculous statement, I think the fact that scalability has been with SPARC in the past has something do to with IA-32 chips that dont scale well. Merced is the first 64 bit architecture from Intel "promised" for 1999 so it has the first chance of any Intel chip to be used for Enterprise Applications. Of course Digital Unix unlike Solaris doesnt run on *any* existing Intel Chip so its just vaporware.
