Paul,

Re:"- Re: " Perhaps they will sue TSMC next - as you know VIA doesn't manufacture anything itself. Stopping all TSMC (via's foundry) should help Intel win some friends as well."

Your PREMISE is almost as BAD as your RESEARCH.

The VIA parts in question are manufactured by NSM.

You seem quite indignant about Intel protecting its intellectual property rights.

Maybe you can comment on AMD suing Altera - and LOSING - to try and protect its intellectual property rights."

I believe that your FACTS are WRONG or Intel is shooting itself in the head again.

Are you stating that Intel is suing to stop the import of parts manufactured in the USA by a USA company - in this case NSM. And a manufacturing company with a broad patent x-license with Intel to boot. And they are choosing to do this with the FTC of all people.

I want Intel to protect its IP rights and it is a good thing.

However if you are right and this is about parts manufactured at NSM then the case is preposterous at face value.

regards,

Kash
