Fact: World oil production will peak someday, and supplies will start running out. But when will the tipping point come - in years, decades, or a couple of months from now?

This is the main point ..

We would be foolish to wait until peak is upon
us or past prior to developing whatever scalable
alternative to fossil fuels that might exist .. especially
for transportation fuels .. Typically, we'll wait until
the crisis is upon us before doing anything concrete which
will cause a hard transition to alternatives ..
