Elmo...still watching for the DEF 14A. Will post as soon as available. Regarding John Young, considering he is currently the acting CEO and chairman, I would think he would make more public statements regarding the new CEO and upcoming changes, and I would think he would make much stronger efforts to keep Joe Marengi out of site for the time being.

I think we generally agree, that he (Joe M) was given a trial period and blew it, causing a terrible loss of credibility and time, when time is of the essence. Joe may be an asset to Novell, but after the last seven months, allowing comments like the one he made is a significant negative force against all the positive news released in the last week.

I get the distinct impression that Joe Marengi would have been threatened by a high-profile seasoned CEO and would have left the company in that instance. Instead I sense that he feels Dr Schmidt is on or below his level, and that Dr Schmidt is expected to follow some kind of pre-determined plan.

I simply don't trust John Young, Joe Marengi and Noorda. They may have a plan, but have PROVEN themselves untrustworthy.

I still feel Novell is looking up short term, but I won't waste anytime getting out at 15. We oughta see 15 after May earnings, assuming based on Joe Marengi's comment that the quarter is on track. Logic would say they wouldn't dare miss their mark this quarter, but then again logic has said many things in the past that Novell defied. Why didn't John Young make these comments? Would have been much more appropriate. It would appear that John Young dosen't want his name attached to anything Novell says.
