One analyst, as I pointed out before, did note competition as one cause of weakness. Why wouldn't it be logical to assume that the Ultrabeam has to offer some price for performance advantages. Would they be so dumb as to put out one that did not - and PLAB did buy it! The relaxation of ETEC specs from .15 to .18, also does not help the perception of competitive invincibility.
