<The ideal Canadian (male) drives a hydrid vehicle, speaks seven languages, and lives in a mobile home that is disguised as an A-Frame. > LOL.... I'm thinking more of the ones who 'claim' to speak languages (including "proper English"), long for EU membership (despite loathful thoughts for Quebec, and those dreadful people), play piano (or have children or relatives that do...or at least support the arts for heaven's sake!),and have graduated from a prestigious (aren't they all?) university as well as 'talk about' hybrid vehicles (they're dreadfully expensive after all) and any other of the above topics at length... Hence: mistake 'facts' for wisdom (having the Guiness Book along side many biographies of supposedly important people as reference guides on the shelf) highly value and vigorously defend their 'faux' (from books) worldliness as part of an all important national identity, all the while blithely turning a blind eye to personal responsibilities in favor of smug-self rightous-puffed up self important discussions about matters of opinion on distant politics over coffee, tobacco, and/or drinks (none of which could possibly be American if you please), pretend to like Hockey simply because of it's attachment to Canada, and finally; at least among the older crowd... have repressed thoughts about returning the Union Jack to it's rightful place or at least fly one below the Maple Leaf. But alas, Canada is changing. --GGGGG-- DAK
