And I think that the Doctors, nurses, pharms, insurance companies and hospitals should take a look at their policies and put some changes on the table that say "look, we can manage ourselves

The Obama plan from what I can tell would need to use primary care physicians to pick up the uninsured patients, as well as to control additional medical costs. (referrals to specialists) The problem is that there is already a shortage of primary care physicians. Medical students are choosing to go into areas which have higher pay and shorter work days than primary care. Don't look for Pediatricians, Family Practice Physicians and Internists to want to "give" back....as they probably work the longest hours for the least amount of pay, and as a group, IMO they already feel overworked and underpaid.

Obama's refusal to address the malpractice issue is a major problem. If he wants to control costs, then he needs to control the problem of nuisance lawsuits that result in physicians and hospitals practicing defensive medicine. As one person posted recently, I'll be for socialized medicine when the legal system is also socialized.

The people IMO who should be worrying about the Obama health care issues should be every American who wants to have a choice with the health care they receive. People from Canada are worried....they already have socialized medicine, and their "choice" is to come to America when they need specialized care.
