John,
So glad someone else brought up this history.
the estimates i have seen vary from a 10% worse valuation of US securities then to a 40% worse valuation currently. this sets us up for somewhere between an '87,an '82 or a (worst case) '29 problem.
The big question is "what will this "new" investor do?". Will he hold?
Can he hold? if so, how long?
At the very least, we should remeber '87, POG- low $390, high $502.75,
avg. $446.07!
I remeber 87 all to well. Despite the desire to hold "for ever" I had to sell some - at down prices - after a lay-off. For some of these new age investors, they too will have no choice.

I look for a Oct. or Nov. 'correction' (as we no longer are allowed to have "crashes). How about you?
