Anyone,

I am curious as to how the VoIP corporate gateway market (as opposed to ISP or carrier gateway market) might effect established CPE markets such as the PBX. I have seen configurations, i.e. the Selsius gateway, that claim to replace the PBX altogether. Most other gateways are servers that communicate with the PBX. Would PBX's need enhancements (or will they become 'simpler') as gateways become more prevalent? Will they be obsolete after some time? Will they always be around for redundancy purposes?

It is difficult for me to distinguish what vendors actually have working products in the marketplace and what is just hype. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John Roberts
