Re: Investment Cycles and Demand for Gold, nice article. More and more each day I'm convinced that inflation is higher than the govt suggests.

E.g., Every day wall street reapeats the mantra that interest rates are "low," and the market is clearly behaving as though we're in a low interest rate environment. Capital is willing to pay 27 times earnings. But if inflation were 1%, then REAL interest rate would be 4-5%, not particularly low at all.

If you believe the market discounts inflation, something is wrong with this picture. The best explanation I come up with: inflation isn't 1%.
