HEY! There's no data to back that up! <ggg> Seriously, just another example of why one must take statistics with a grain of salt: Your average American is malnourished, but "food" is as cheap as ever! LOL, [sad laughter]. Don't worry, we're better off than ever.

Finally, some really good stuff is coming out at decent prices through whole foods markets, but you won't see THOSE prices in the CPI! LOL
