For some reason you remind me of a local valley. It was quite pretty with a large flowing creek, a small winding road, and a park. There was growing plans to buy the whole valley for a large park. The local developer-owner of a large tract decided to send out a bulldozer and grind off the top of the ridges and installed a billboard. He just wanted to make sure that nobody would comment about the scenery again until the city had a chance to grow his way. It's pretty generic suburbs these days.
