I don't think so John (issue #3). I bought a 486/66 motherboard in 1995 for $288. Recently I've seen 120 MHz Pentium motherboards for less then $200. Both at Fry's. That would be about 400% more power at less cost.

PS I thought it was a great buy at $288 since the bare CPU cost was $279 at the time.
