Motorola Launches CyberSURFR Wave Cable Modem Motorola to Ship Second Generation Cable Modem With 16 QAM Capability ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1997-- Motorola Inc. today announced the launch of a new addition to its cable modem line, CyberSURFR(TM) Wave. The new cable modem makes 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) commercially available to operators. The CyberSURFR Wave is one-half the height of the first generation CyberSURFR cable modem. Additionally, Motorola announced price reductions with its CyberSURFR cable modem line.
