If 70% of the country thinks my ideas are loony, then WHY is Hillary crushing Trump????? The answer is obvious. A problem that the Republican party has to face is that Trump proved that their core values, small government, low taxes, et al mean nothing to a large percentage of their base. Trump promised none of those things, and often the opposite as he ran roughshod over the rest of the Republican candidates. It hasn't sunk in for people like Sglda. He and his ilk still believe that the majority of Americans have the same values as he does, despite the fact that the majority of his own party doesn't share them. But, he is used to living under many delusions, this is just one more. For him, 7% or 70%, they are just numbers...
