AS well as stiffer, more formal, and far more judgemental boarding on pompaity. Could be that they are stiffer and more formal, but I do not find my Canadian friends to be judgemental. It's interesting that you should say that because I find Americans to be extremely judgemental these past few years. Maybe it's because of the relatively recent high profile influence of religion on our political and social life. In any case, the Canadians I know strike me as more of the live and let live variety.
