don't clutter your mind with even trying to answer the question: Is gold money? Any answer is a worthless opinion and provides no insight to help you in any investment decision, IMO. If you hold USDs and transact most of your business in them -- just ask yourself what they are worth in terms of gold and what you expect them to be worth in terms of gold going forward. Don't let the pundits embroil you in wasted pursuits.
