RERE:In my book, Jerry Sanders appears to be something of a psychopath, someone who doesn't seem to have a conscienceable regard for the truth, and is prone to make promises first before he's sure they're able to be fulfilled. (e.g., I wonder about whether the tricky wording of "3.6 million K7 processors in Q3" without breaking it down into processor types was meant to hide the fact that there were very serious infrastructure problems with Duron"

I think you make some good points. Wall Street will likely paint with a broad brush initially, they already have.

As far as Jerry being a psychopath. NOT the new Jerry, after AMD had been sued. He is very careful and conservative now. Still, currency valuations, commodity prices are above the realm of AMDs forecaters I would think.

As far as Athlon mix. The more Thunderbirds the better. AMD can still produce 3.6 million Athlon core this Q. I think that was a very conservative estimate all along.
If they miss it...it likely won't be by much if they don't warn.
Right now, there is too much uncertainty for Wall Street to
divide AMD from Intel...or a lot of other tech stocks from Intel. There is a recession fear as well...
