Sun Talks About Rationale Of Java I thought this quote was quite interesting from Sun Microsystems President Edward Zander Wednesday at the Internet & Electronic Commerce conference..... "Java is only 600 days old and there are already 200,000 Java programmers," Zander said. "That's about half the number of serious Windows programmers." Now with CEO (Dr.) Schmidt adding many more Novell and Netscape programmers to the lot, the installed programmer base for JAVA is growing and it's an "Open System Platform" <yea!> . It seems like many of the pieces are now in place and we are just starting and have the big MO (momentum). Now let's ink that IBM NDS license deal and pass the batton to CEO (Dr.) Schmidt with the table set. Novell needs to cross promote the complete Corell JAVA product suites as part of their product line. Perhaps Norada had the right idea but just the wrong platform for delivering these end-user (client server) applications. I am looking forward to CEO Schmidt's implementation plan for these integrated JAVA applications. Remember those 'service' revenues. EKS
