Hi Condor. Another use is brass, where depending on the alloy it can range up to 40%. I don't know the tonnage used per year but it must be significant. A few years ago I saw a promotional video produced by a large zinc company and they were putting an effort into producing roofing products, but there were still quite a few issues unresolved.

I can't remember the details, but it is also an important element in rust protection for bridges and concrete columns for bridges.

My thinking is that is a very important metal, touching most peoples lives, but one that most cannot relate to.
