I can agree with much of what you say. I do like the Go-Gos but only had five choices. I rarely agree with the choices made by judges in any of these award affairs but that's because I'm more into eclectic rather than mainstream music and mainstream gets the lion's share of attention.

Foo Fighters and Mary J. Blige don't do anything for me but that doesn't mean that I don't think they do what they do well. Ditto Iron Maiden. Don't like Rage at all and not a big Hip Hop or Rap fan either but there are certain tunes in those genres that I do like.

Music is such a vast field that no one can like everything but everyone can like plenty. Amazing the diversity attained on five lines and four spaces by those cute little notes and symbols.
