You did get a Voter Registration Card when you registered, but you probably registered a long time ago. I moved into this house recently enough ago that the process is fresh in my mind, but I also have my old card from the old place.

It's folded up to slightly more than the size of a credit card but unfolded is slightly more than four times that size.

I don't think you have to show it when you vote the first time, and definitely not any time after that, but I did have mine with me just in case.

I agree with you that keeping people from voting twice in two different states is a worthwhile goal. Maybe a national identifier would be necessary to solve that problem.
