Decency CAN mean weakness if you carry it to extremes.

Chamberlain was TRYING to be decent when he made the deal with the Germans.

What he didn't realize was that the German's considered decency to be a weakness.

Today, the Chinese and Russians consider decency to be a weakness.

I'm a FAN of FDR. Also a fan of his cousin Teddy. Both of them tried to even the playing field for the average person.

It wasn't JFK that lost a pilot son, it was Joe Kennedy, his Father that lost his namesake son, Joe, John's brother.

I think FDR was TOO soft on Joe Stalin. That carried over to Truman. The U.S. had the troops in Europe to do it and they should have taken the Russians OUT.

They were just too worried about DECENCY though. They ended up being decent to the Russians and the Poles, Czechs and East Germans PAID for it for 60 Years.

TOO MUCH decency can get a LOT of people killed or enslaved...
