for blackice defender (bid) users....

i sent networkice support an email this morning asking them when they would be releasing an upgrade from the current bid v1.9.25? here is their emailed response:

"We do not have a set date as to when our next version will be released.
However the new version will support Windows 2000. Please keep posted
on our website and we will let you know when this will be released. From
the best of my knowledge what I can tell you is that it should be released
sometime before the end of this quarter."

you can also open the blackice dialog by clicking the icon in your systray, right-click the bid logo in the upper left and select 'blackice utilities', then 'download blackice update'. this clickstream will open a browser window and, by automatically using your bid license number, tell you if you have the most current version.
