I think you and Brian might be missing my point.

If you have a "virtual office" then you have it with you ANYWHERE you go.

You could take a trip to Africa and still be in full contact with your home office. Your wearable PC that contains both a translator and a communicator back home would allow you to talk in real time with people you meet even if they don't have a translator or the technology. It would be much like Star Trek where they can speak to most any aliens they meet (the ST latest show is still working on this universal translator technology so Yoshi is needed to add the human assistance).

I think it would enhance getting along because we could now speak to people on the street directly and not listen to "Baghdad Bob" tell us propaganda.
