It's not just AOL vs. Microsoft any more in the battle of content.
Increasingly, major media have begun big bucks Internet efforts that
leverge their franchises in new ways. And Internet technology for
bulletin boards/forums is now competitive with that of proprietary
services.

Individually, none is a threat to AOL or to MSN. Collectively, and to
the extent that their number expands, it very much is.
