Business Week has issued a correction on their mistake in the article "Equities: From the Bottom Up?". Here is the web link, and the correction itself:

shortfalls. In fact, JDS recently reported a fiscal first-quarter gain, and Ciena has yet to report its latest quarter
In terms of vendor financing, to date, CIENA's reported results reflect no vendor financing, although we have established relationships with several third parties that could facilitate financing should a future customer require it.
